The six steps

From first conversation
to the day you wear it.

Set an appointment

Contact us to share what you are looking to do, or set an appointment right away to discuss the details in person at our atelier. A dedicated appointment means our full attention, with proper time set aside. A typical first visit takes 30 to 45 minutes.

First visit

You meet our dressmaker team to talk through your preferences, design and requirements. Bring your own fabric or choose from our collection with our guidance. Once design and cloth are confirmed, we take your measurements, or work from a piece that already fits, with notes on your shape, posture and preferences so the garment falls exactly right.

Still hunting for cloth? See the fabrics we carry and our guide to buying fabrics in Bangkok.

Drawing your pattern

Pattern work space at the LALEDA Tailor atelier

A pattern is designed and drawn to your measurements and design. Every tailored piece gets its own individual pattern, customized to you, and we archive it: should you want more garments later, your next piece starts from a pattern that already fits.

Cutting & stitching

Our Head Dressmaker draws the pattern onto the fabric and delicately cuts every piece by hand. The garment is then stitched to your specific design and measurements by our in-house tailor and seamstress team, with the fabric pattern matched along the seams, all under her close supervision.

Second visit: the fitting

Generally 7-10 days from the first visit

You try your garment and we check the fit together. Adjustments are made to sleeves, length and waist to make sure the piece fits perfectly. If only small adjustments are needed, you take your garment home right away.

Pickup or delivery

Usually 7 days from your fitting

Your clothes are ready for pickup or delivery. Before handover, our Head Dressmaker and quality control team check the garment one final time and pack it for delivery or personal handover.

Kept in the archive

Your pattern stays with us.

Every garment we make gets an individual pattern, drawn to your measurements and kept in our archive. Whenever you want another piece, your next garment starts from a pattern that already fits you.
