Design & structural alterations
Changes to general design or structure of a garment, such as:
- Adding sleeves to a dress
- Adding a slit to a skirt
- Removing shoulder pads
Wedding dress alterations
Got a wedding dress that's a bit too large or looking to change the details? Common wedding dress adjustments include:
- Adjusting the fit of the bodice
- Shortening the hemline
- Adjusting the straps or sleeves
- Adding or removing details such as lace or beading
Waist & length alterations
Adjustments made to waistline or length of a dress / pants, for example:
- Taking in or letting out the waist
- Adjusting the placement of the waistband
- Adding length to the waist or whole pants
Questions
On clothing alterations.
Everyday garments start from 500 THB per detail (for example, hemming a skirt and taking in the waist is two details: 1,000 THB). Wedding dress alterations start from 1,000 THB and are quoted after we see the gown. We confirm the price per detail before any work starts.
Simple hems and waist takes are often ready within about a few days to a week, depending on the queue and how many details you need. Structural changes, beading or wedding-gown work can take longer. We give you a clear hand-back date when we pin the garment.
Yes. We adjust bodices, hemlines, straps, sleeves, lace and beading on bridal gowns. Bring the dress (and shoes if the hem matters) so we can pin accurately. For a deeper guide, see our wedding dress alterations article.
The garment, the shoes (or similar heel height) you will wear with it, and any underlayers that change the fit: shapewear, a bra, a camisole. If you have a photo of the look you want, bring that too. We pin on you at the atelier near Sukhumvit 24.
Yes. Most of our alteration work is on ready-to-wear and designer pieces: dresses, trousers, blazers and gowns. We assess the construction first so we know what can be taken in, let out or reshaped without harming the fabric or the label finish.
An appointment is best so a tailor is free to fit you properly. Walk-ins are sometimes possible Mon-Sat 10:00-17:00 if the atelier is quiet, but booking by chat, call or the contact form avoids waiting. Last appointments are around 4:30 PM.
